VISITING FELLOWSHIPS PROGRAMME 2018-19

Scope: To Nurture collaborations with the Centre’s faculty and to Give research opportunities, the Centre Offers Visiting Fellowships to faculty working in Central or State Universities and R&D labs in India. Visiting fellows are connected with the faculty of JNCASR, along with the research work is performed in JNCASR.
Research Areas: Life Sciences (such as developmental and molecular biology, chronobiology, genetics, Ecology, behaviour, neurobiology); Materials Sciences (such as nanoscience); Chemical Sciences (such as chemical Biology, interfaces of chemical science with materials, solid-state chemistry, theoretical/computational Chemistry, inorganic, physical and organic chemistry); Physical Sciences (such as theoretical and experimental Condensed-matter and materials physics, statistical physics, organic electronics and experimental Nanobiotechnology); Engineering Sciences (such as fluid dynamics, nonlinear dynamics, and thermal and Chemical
engineering); and Atmospheric Sciences.Duration and Fellowship: The fellowship is tenable for a minimum uninterrupted period of sixty days and Maximum of 3 months and valid for a year from the date of this offer letter. The timing of this trip may be Determined based on mutual convenience. The fellowship carries an honorarium of Rs 25000 a month.
Qualification: Faculty or engineers with a Ph.D., that have permanent positions in Central or State Universities Or R&D labs are encouraged to apply. Individuals who have applied for or used this Visiting Fellowship Programme before, shouldn’t apply.
Application process:
Application form can be downloaded in http://www.jncasr.ac.in/fe. Completed Application must have a certification from the Head of the candidate’s parent institute permitting continuous leave for the duration of the fellowship. The completed application and supporting documents must be sent as one PDF File by email to [email protected] and in hard copy by post to The Academic Coordinator, JNCASR, Jakkur, Bangalore -560 064. Email subject line and envelope comprising hard copy should be clearly marked ‘Application for Visiting Fellowship Programme 2018-2019’. Incomplete applications will be rejected and No additional correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

- Last date for receipt of completed application form: 17 August 2018.
- The awardees will be informed in October 2018.
