Admission for Research Scholars Program
WALK-IN Interview on 08th June 2018
National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB) invites applications for the Research Scholars Program 2018-2019.
NIAB is a autonomous and premier institute of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT),
Government of India. The Institute wants to develop and exploit emerging and novel
biotechnological tools and applications, and take up research in cutting edge areas for
improving animal productivity and health in addition to contribute to individual health and wellbeing.
NIAB’s current research interests include
- Host-pathogen interactions and pathogenomics
- next generation vaccines, diagnostics, adjuvants and drug delivery platforms
- nourishment, metabolomics and metabolic disorders
- genetics and genomics
- gene and protein production
- reproductive biotechnology
- transgenic technologies
- bioinformatics
- human-animal interface along with One Health
Applications are encouraged for NIAB’s RSP 2018-2019 from
highly motivated people who have procured national fellowships and that are willing to take up research work to Satisfy the Challenges from the above-mentioned places. Those admitted as Research Scholars may be enrolled for PhD via a recognized University or via Regional Centre ofBiotechnology, Faridabad, following completion of course work and some additional demands
Eligibility and Selection Criteria:
Individuals desirous of seeking admission should have a Master’s degree in any branch of Life Science (M.Sc., M.V.Sc., or even M.Pharm) or B.Tech / M.Tech in almost any branch of Life Science. Candidates should also have procured CSIR/UGC/DBT/ICMR/INSPIRE NET JRF/UGC-RGNF or some other national research fellowship for five years. Applications are also accepted from applicants that have secured a fellowship and also have finished or will probably finish the required classes from the academic year 2018-19. Possessing a fellowship is compulsory for consideration. The stipulations, fellowship amount etc. is going to be regulated by theawarding financing agency subject to the customs and Rules of this Institute.
Application and Selection Procedure:
Candidates that fulfill the above eligibility criteria will attend the walk in interview on
08th June 2018 between 10am and 1pm. Candidates need to bring all records in
original for attending the interview with a single set of self-attested photocopies and a single newest passport size picture.
Candidates should make their own arrangements for almost any traveling / traveling and accommodation. No TA/DA will be compensated by NIAB for attending the meeting
NIAB reserves the right to accept / reject applications or candidature or entrance in case of any discrepancy detected at any point
