Applications are invited in the prescribed form from eligible candidates for the award of University Post Doctoral fellowship(Regular Post Doctoral Fellowship and Bridge Post Doctoral Fellowship) for the period 2016-2017
Eligibility
The eligibility and the award of PDF shall be governed by the Regulations for the Award of Post Doctoral Fellowship 2016, of the University of Kerala
(A). Regular Post Doctoral Fellowship
The minimum Qualification for selection to the Regular Post Doctoral fellowship shall be a Doctorate Degree in the subject concerned from University of Kerala or a Degree recognized by the University of Kerala as equivalent thereto.
There is no age bar for award of Regular Post Doctoral Fellowship, subject to the condition that the candidates shall apply for PDF within two years from the date of award of Ph.D Degree.
(B). Bridge Post Doctoral Fellowship.
The candidates awaiting award of Ph.D Degree after submission of the thesis are eligible to apply for Bridge Post Doctoral Fellowship.
Application –
The applicants of Regular Post Doctoral Fellowship/ Bridge Post Doctoral Fellowship shall choose the respective Departments of University of Kerala as their research centre and their applications shall be forwarded to the University along with:
(i) the
research proposal not exceeding 1000 words; (ii) the consent letter from the supervising teacher of the University Departments to serve as mentor (iii) Facility Certificate from the Head of the Department concerned; and (iv) the recommendation of the doctoral committeee (v) Eligibility Certificate shall be submitted if PG/Ph.D is from outside University.Post Doctoral Fellowship shall be carried only on Full-time basis and persons drawing any other emoluments are not eligible.
Selection –
The selection shall be based on the performance in the presentation before the Selection committeee and also the research papers published patent application.
Vacancies available in each subject can be ascertained from the Head of the Department/Chairman Doctoral Committeee. SC/ST/ OBC/PH candidates shall be eligible for reservation benefits as per the rules of the State Government/ for employment from time to time.
How to Apply:
Eligible candidates shall apply to the University in the prescribed form(available in the website www.keralauniversity.ac.in) along with the attested copies of all supporting documents which shall reach the Registrar University of Kerala, Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram- 695034 on or before 20.02.2017.
