Position 1
Job Title : Research Associate (1 post)
Emoluments/ Honorarium (Category wise) : Rs.36,000 + 20% HRA
Project Name : GIS Cell at Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB), Panchkula, Haryana
Period : Initially for a period of one year, and extendable on the basis of project requirement and work performance.
Qualifications & Experience :
Ph. D (Environmental Science & Engg, GeoInformatics, Geography, Geology, GeoSciences, Computer Science, Chemistry, Biology, Electronics, Computer Engg., Chemical Engineering, Urban & Regional Planning with Minimum 1st Class (60%) in Post-Graduation degree and with degree or PG diploma in Remote Sensing & GIS, Geo-Informatics, Geomatics, Geo-Spatial Technologies (or) with relevant professional / teaching experience in Remote Sensing & GIS/ Software Programming & Development/ Software customization/ GIS server administration/ Server management/ Mobile applications and development.

Minimum
1st class (60%) M.Sc/ M. Tech/ ME in Remote sensing /GIS / Geo Informatics / Geo spatial technologies / Geomatics with 3 (three) years professional / teaching experience in Remote Sensing & GIS/ Software Programming & Development/ Software customization/ GIS server administration/ Server management & Mobile application and development.or

Minimum 1st Class M.Sc/ M.Tech/ ME degree in Geo-Informatics, Remote Sensing & GIS, Geomatics, Geo spatial technologies with 1 (one) year of relevant professional / teaching experience in Remote Sensing & GIS/ Software Programming & Development/ Software customization/ GIS server administration/ Server management/ Mobile applications and development.

1st class M.Sc./ ME/ M.Tech in Geography, Geology, Geo-Sciences, Environmental Science & Engg, Computer Science, Chemistry, Biology, Electronics, Chemical Engineering, Urban & Regional Planning with degree or PG Diploma in Remote Sensing/ GIS/ Geoinformatics, Geomatics/ Geo spatial technologies (or) 02 (two) year relevant professional / teaching experience in Remote Sensing & GIS applications/ Software Programming & Development/ Software customization/ GIS server administration/ Server management/ Mobile applications and development.

The appointments in the project will be purely on contractual basis as per project requirement and it will not confer any right on the incumbent to any claim, implicit or explicit, on any post.

I. Selection Procedure for Research Associate (RA), Project Fellow (PF)
Selection will be based on screening of applications, written test (and/or) skill test followed by an interview
Note: Post wise only top 3 (Three) rank in written test (and/or) skill test who are eligible candidates strictly as per the essential and desirable qualifications mentioned will be called for interview on the same day, otherwise interview will be on next day or on any other date, intimation in this regard will be communicated to the eligible candidates on the same day or through E-mail /HARSAC website.
a. Syllabus for written test (if written test is proposed to conduct- objective type and/or one word to two sentence answer questions) one hour duration.
05 Questions related to Physiography and Demography of Haryana State
35 Questions related to Remote Sensing, GPS, GIS, & Geo-Database
05 Questions related to Test of Reasoning
05 Questions related to Statistics (Measures of Central Tendency, Dispersions, Deviations and Correlation)
b. Skills Test: One hour duration. Skill test syllabus: 2- Practical test exercise questions
Digital Image Processing: Satellite image Layer Stacking, Generating FCC, Extracting AOI. Image Pre-processing, Image Transformation, Image Classification and Map composition. GIS & GPS: Creation of Geo database, Topology building and editing, Spatial and non-spatial data integration, Geo-processing, Query building, Data Conversion, Vector Analysis, Raster Analysis, Generation of DEM, DTM, DSM. c. Interview
II. Selection Procedure for Project –cum-Field-cum-Lab Attendant (Attendant)
a. Metric marks : Maximum of 10
b. +2 marks: Maximum of 10
c. Computer skills – Certificate or Diploma: Maximum 10 marks (for 3 months-3 marks, 6 months-5 marks, 1 year or more-10 marks)
d. Experience: Maximum of 20 (1-mark for 1-month/30 days completed experience in government, Public Sector Undertakings or registered institutions, organizations and firms)
Written test: (one hour duration-50 Questions- metric standard): Maximum of 50 marks
Interview: As per standard instructions of Haryana Govt., from time to time.
Note:
i. Question Paper Setting & Evaluation: Question Paper setting and evaluation will be done by internal and/or external experts.
ii. Interview Panel: As per the approved procedures of HarSAC from time to time.
iii. All above contractual posts are for one year period or up to the completion of the project work whichever is earlier. The contractual period may be extendable as per requirement and performance.
The appointment in the project will be purely on contractual basis for the period as mentioned above or earlier or extendable as per project requirement. The selected candidate will not confer any right on the incumbent to any claim, implicit or explicit, on any post. Prescribed application forms can be downloaded from our website (www.harsac.org). Candidates are required to mention exact percentage of marks obtained by them against each column of qualifications. It is mandatory for the candidates called for written test (and/or) skill test followed by an interview to bring their original certificates/ testimonials etc. Application fee of Rs.200/- for each post. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test (and/or) skill test followed by an interview.
