Applications are invited for 02 (two) posts of Junior Research Fellow under two projects funded by GSBTM and SERB, respectively as per the details given below.
1. Project title: SREBP-mediated dysregulation of lipid homeostasis in foam cell formation
Principle investigator : Dr. Umesh C. S. Yadav
Project duration: 3 Years
Funding agency: Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission (GSBTM), DST, Govt. of Gujarat
Consolidated Salary: Rs. 14,400 per month (as sanctioned by funding agency)
2. Project title: Regulation of endothelial cells dysfunction by Erk-5 in metabolic disorder
Principle investigator: Dr. Umesh C. S. Yadav
Project duration: 3 Years
Funding agency: Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), DST, Govt. of India
Consolidated Salary: Rs. 25,000 per month (as sanctioned by funding agency)
Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. in Biological Sciences with minimum of 55% marks, must
qualified UGC-CSIR NET/SLET, at least two years of work experience in the relevant area of
foam cell (for position 1) and endothelial cell biology (for position 2), respectively, hands on
experience with foam cells (for position 1) and endothelial cells (for position 2) model is a must, respectively.
Desired: (a) Experience in handling of and experimentation with mammalian cell culture,
especially macrophages, monocytes, and

General Instructions:
1. The candidates should apply separately for the position if interested in both positions.
2. The selected candidate will be appointed purely on temporary basis initially for a period of one year.
3. Appointment may be extended depending on the satisfactory work performance as assessed by the project head or till the validity of the project, or whichever is earliest.
4. The selected candidate will directly report to the Principal Investigator regarding his/her work progress and project related matters.
5. The services will be required 5 days a week as per the University rules and also on the weekends, if deemed necessary.
6. In addition to the regular work, the selected candidate will have to perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the PI related to the project.
