Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture (CRIDA) is a National Research Institute under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) established in 1985 with a mandate to carry out basic and applied research in rainfed farming. The Institute also undertakes National/ International Collaborations and Consultancy Projects. All India Coordinated Research Programmes (AICRPs) of ICAR on Dryland Agriculture and Agrometeorology with 25 partners each are in CRIDA. This is the lead Institute and the National Nodal point for the National Innovations in Climate Resilient Agriculture (NICRA) which is being implemented at large number of Research Institutes of ICAR, State Agricultural Universities and 100 KVKs.
ICAR-Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture wishes to recruit Research Associates and Senior Research Fellows in the following project purely on contractual basis. Details of the position are given below:

Position 2
Name of the post: Research Associate
Emolument: Rs. 38,000 + 30% HRA per month for post graduates or Rs. 40,000 + 30% HRA for Ph.D. candidates
Qualification:
Essential:
M.Sc. Agriculture with specialization in Soil Science, Agronomy, Environmental Sciences or
M. Tech in Soil & Water Conservation, M.Sc. in Environmental Sciences
Desirable:
Two years work experience in field studies, statistical
analysis of data, documentation and report writing related to above subjects.Age Limit: Maximum 40 years for men and 45 years for women as on 6 September 2016 (relaxable for SC/ST/ OBC/ PH as per Govt of India rules).
Position 2
Name of the post: Senior Research Fellow
Emolument: Rs.25,000 +30% HRA per month for 1st and 2nd year and Rs.28,000 + 30% HRA for 3rd year
Qualification:
Essential : M.Sc. in Agriculture with specialization in Soil Science, Agronomy or Environmental Sciences, M. Tech in Soil & Water Conservation, M.Sc. in Environmental Sciences, Masters in Veterinary Sciences, Masters in Horticulture, M.Sc. or M. Tech in GIS, Remote
Sensing or Geo-informatics
Desirable : Experience in field studies, statistical analysis of data, documentation and report writing related to above subjects
Age Limit : 35 years for men and 40 years for women as on 6 September 2016 (relaxable for SC/ST/ OBC/ PH as per Govt of India rules)
Terms and conditions:
- Please note that the applicant needs to have a Master’s degree Agriculture/ Veterinary or
relevant subjects with 4 years /5 years of Bachelor’s degree. Candidates having
postgraduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years
Master’s degree should have NET qualification. For further clarification about eligibility

and 13-07-2015. - The above position is purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis. The initial
appointment will be up to March 31, 2017. The selected candidates will have no claim for
regular appointment at this institute, as the position is co-terminus with the project. - No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
- No objection certificate from the employer shall be produced in case the candidate is
employed elsewhere. - Only the candidates having essential qualification would be entertained for the interview.
