Join the Traineeships @ The Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum with a Consolidated stipend of Rs. 11,000/- pm
Applications are invited for traineeships with requisite qualifications in the following disciplnes tenable for one year, which may be extended for one more year at the discretion of the museum.

THE TRAINEESHIP
The traineeship is for 1 year which may be extended for a further period of 1 year on satisfactory performance. Fresh students after obtaining the requisite qualifications are inducted for the traineeship.
The traineeship is offered in the following areas:-
Post Title: Trainee (Education)
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Science with Physics and combination of any 2 subjects viz., chemistry, mathematics, electronics, astronomy, geology and statistics or Bachelor’s degree in Science with chemistry and combination of any 2 subjects viz., zoology, botany, microbiology, environmental science, biotechnology and molecular biology from a duly recognized university.
Consolidated monthly stipend: Rs.11,000/
General Conditions of Traineeship:
- No traveling allowances are admissible for attending the test and interview and for joining the traineeship or proceeding back on termination of traineeship. During the currency of traineeship TA/DA is admissible for official tours undertaken by the trainees as applicable to regular staff members.
- A Trainee would have to deposit a sum of Rs.1000/- in cash as Caution Money in security against tools, etc., issued to him /her. This money is refundable after satisfactory completion of the training period. Candidates will be entitled to draw his/her stipend only after the deposit of the Caution Money.
- The trainees shall be required to attend to all types of works that may be allotted to them from time to time by his/her superior and may be required to undertake tours, as and when necessary
- No arrangement for residential accommodation is available for such trainees and outstation trainees would have to make their own arrangements in this regard. However, hostel accommodation may be provided, if otherwise available, on payment of nominal fees and pro-rata electricity charges. The availability of hostel accommodation at Basavesvaranagar, Bangalore-560079 is, however, very limited.
Areas of training:
Trainee ( Education): Conducting educational programmes including demonstration/lecture in and outside the museum, helping Curators & Education Officers in development of teaching aids, Visitors, research, publicity, public relations and other programmes.
