Walk-in for the Post of Guest Lecturer @ Tripura University
Taking into consideration the long cherished demands of the students community, growing aspirations of the people at large and also acknowledging the present and future needs of education in the state, the State Government took the initiative to pass the Tripura University Act in the Assembly in 1987 and the first University in the state came into being on 2nd October 1987. Consequent upon the merger of the CUPGC in the Tripura University and gradual shifting of the campus from College Tilla to its new site at Suryamaninagar, all the existing colleges of Tripura also came under the charge of the new University. There are also a large number of colleges affiliated to the university. The University is running various courses under Science and Arts & Commerce Faculty. A total number of 42 courses run under the University, which includes Certificate Courses, Under Graduate, Post Graduate Diploma and Post Graduate Studies. In addition to these, Ph.D programmes are also offered in 33 subjects. Despite several odds at its inception, the University has been trying to overcome various difficulties with the cooperation of the State Government, the UGC, the NEC and the
Planning Commission of India and many other authorities. The autonomous character of the University is not interfered in any way by the State Government. Tripura University has been converted to a Central University w.e.f 2nd July,2007 under the Tripura University Act,2006 as enacted by the Parliament.A Walk-in Interview is being held for the engagement of Guest Teachers in the Departments of Microbiology, Chemistry and Forestry and Biodiversity.
Eligibility:
- Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
- Besides fulfilling the above qualification, the candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET
- Candidates who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for engagement of Guest Teacher
Note:
- Monthly remuneration will be fixed as per the University rules
- No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the interview
How to apply:
Interested candidates may attend the walk-in interview with bio-data and original documents with a set of photocopy.
Candidate should report at least half an hour before the commencement of the interview.
