CSIR-CMERI Centre of Excellence for Farm Machinery (CoEFM), established in 1965 (an extension centre of Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute, Durgapur) under the aegis of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR). The present priority areas of research of the institute are: Mechanical Design, Conservation & Precision Farming Machinery and Biofuel. Applications are invited from suitable candidates for engagement as Project-SRF/ Project-JRF under PCRA sponsored project (GAP-210512; Production of Biodiesel from Tung Seed in North East India).

Essential Qualification For Project-SRF :
i) M.E./M.Tech. in Agricultural/ Chemical Engg. With at least 60% marks. Or
ii) B.E/B.Tech. in Agricultural/ Chemical Engg. with at least 60% marks and 2 years of research experience. Or
iii) M.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Environmental Science/ Chemistry/ Microbiology with minimum 55% marks and 2 publications in Peer Reviewed SCI Journal or NET qualified
Essential Qualification for Project-JRF
i) B.E./B.Tech. in Agricultural/ Chemical Engg. with valid
GATE score. Orii) M.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Environmental Science/ Chemistry/ Microbiology with minimum 55% marks and valid GATE/NET score.
Desirable: Experience of research in the area of Biofuel
Tenure : 18 Months
Upper age limit : 32 Yrs. for Project SRF Or 28 Yrs. for ProjectJ RF
Consolidated stipend per month (Rs.) : Project – SRF Rs. 28000/- + HRA Or Project-JRF Rs. 25000/- + HRA

The interested candidates may appear before the Selection Committee on 13th August, 2016 at 10 AM at this institute with all their original certificates / mark sheets/ project or thesis report or any other exhibits highlighting work of individual with self-attested copy of each of it and two recent passport size photographs with the filled in application form available in the institute website (http://www.cmeri.res.in/oth/job.html) as per the date and time given below. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Reporting time for Walk-In-Interview : 9:30 AM on 13th August, 2016 at CSIR-CMERI CoEFM, Ludhiana.
Note :
- The candidates who have already served in CMERI/CoEFM as a Trainee/ Project Assistant/ Project Fellow/ JRF/ SRF/ Research Associate etc. for a period of 5 years or more are not eligible for the above engagements. The candidates who have served for a period less than 5 years, upon selection, their tenure will automatically end on completion of five years.
- The engagement will be purely on temporary basis for One Year, extendable yearly up to the project duration subject to satisfactory performance of the candidate and project progress. Suitable Candidates may be taken in appropriate positions as per their qualifications & experience in the relevant areas of specialization.
- The date for determining the upper age limit, qualification and/or experience etc. will be the date of interview. Relaxation in age limit of the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC and Women shall be provided as per the Government rules.
- If it is found at any stage of the process that the candidates do not fulfill the eligibility criteria, their candidature shall be cancelled without assigning any reason whatsoever. Further, the decision of CSIR-CMERI CoEFM in regard to the selection process will be final and binding to all concerned. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained by the Institute.
