The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) Chandigarh was conceived in 1960 as a center of excellence which would endeavour to develop patterns of teaching in postgraduate medical education in as many branches as possible and attempt to produce specialists in several disciplines of medicine.

Job Title : “Technical Assistant (Genetics)”

Project Entitled : “Consortium on Vulnerability of Externalizing Disorders and Addictions (c-VEDA)”

PI : Dr. Debasish Basu, Professor, Department of Psychiatry, PGIMER

Salary: Rs. 28,755/- per Month

Age : Maximum age limit is 30 yrs (as per matriculation certificate)

Essential Qualification :

• MSc in Biotechnology/ Human Genetics from recognized university
• Experience in venepuncture (including children >6 years)
• blood and saliva sample collection
• storage and safe transportation

Desirable : 2 years’ experience in Genetics/cell culture

This post is purely temporary for one year and may be extended.

The applicants are required to submit their Bio-data (with self-attested photo copies of all the supporting documents & one photograph) by 20/05/2016 in the Office of Drug De-Addiction & Treatment Centre, PGIMER, Chandigarh, till 4:00 PM and to appear for personal interview along with original certificates on 23/05/2016 at 2:30 PM in the Office of Prof. Madhu Khullar, Room No. 2008, 2nd Floor, Research Block B, PGIMER, Chandigarh.

If large numbers of applications are received a written test will be conducted. No separate interview letters will be sent. No TA/DA will be paid.
