About the Role

The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare invites applications from eligible candidates for the post of Junior Scientific Officer at the Regional Drugs Testing Laboratory (RDTL), Chandigarh, under the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO). The appointment will be made on a deputation basis.

Eligibility Criteria

Deputation

Officers of the following organizations are eligible to apply:

  • Central Government
  • State Government
  • Union Territory Administrations
  • Autonomous Organizations
  • Statutory Organizations
  • Public Sector Undertakings
  • Recognized Universities
  • Recognized Research Institutions

Candidates should:

  • Hold an analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre/department; or
  • Have two years of regular service in Level-7 (₹44,900–₹1,42,400) or equivalent in the parent cadre/department.

Educational Qualification

Candidates should possess a Master’s Degree in any of the following disciplines from a recognized university or institute:

  • Biochemistry
  • Bacteriology
  • Microbiology
  • Biotechnology

Experience for Govt Junior Scientific Officer

Minimum four years of experience in:

  • Drugs testing
  • Standardisation
  • Research

Desirable Qualification

Doctorate degree in any of the following disciplines:

  • Biochemistry
  • Bacteriology
  • Microbiology
  • Biotechnology

Pay Scale

Level-8 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix: ₹47,600 – ₹1,51,100
