Job Requirements
- Assist in ongoing experiments using Arabidopsis root tip regeneration as a model to perform genetic screens.
- Generate molecular cloning tools required for the project.
- Perform image analysis to quantify and analyze cell geometry.
Qualifications
- Minimum: M.Sc. / B.Tech in Life sciences / Biotechnology / Bioengineering with minimum 70% marks / equivalent grade. Additional percentage cut-off will be applied during the screening process, if needed.
- Preference:
- Prior experience in molecular biology and genetics techniques is a must.
- Prior experience in handling microscopes and imaging is required. Specifically, experience in using confocal microscope will be preferred.
Consolidated Emoluments per Month:
- Rs.30,000 + 30% HRA per month.
- Rs.37,000 + 30% HRA per month for candidate having valid CSIR-NET / GATE / DBT – JRF / any other National Level Test conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies OR equivalent scorecard.
Tenure of the Appointment
Initially for a period of 1 year extendable for further period subject to continuation of the project and satisfactory performance of the incumbent.
Age Limit
Not more than 35 years as on last date of submission of application. Age relaxation commensurate with educational qualifications and/or experience may be considered.
