Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd is inviting applications for the position of Executive – Biotechnology within its Research & Development (R&D) function. The role is based in Vadodara and focuses on downstream process development for large molecule biologics, including recombinant proteins and monoclonal antibodies.
The position offers an opportunity for biotechnology professionals with relevant industry experience to contribute to process development, scale-up activities, analytical interpretation, and technical documentation within a research-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Downstream Process Development
- Demonstrate expertise in downstream process development of large molecules, recombinant proteins, and monoclonal antibodies.
- Chromatography Operations
- Handle chromatographic systems proficiently.
- Support purification process development and optimization activities.
- Filtration and TFF Systems
- Operate Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) systems.
- Operate filtration systems effectively.
- Interpret experimental results generated from filtration and purification studies using standard analytical tools.
- Process Scale-Up
- Apply downstream process scale-up principles.
- Support scale-up activities for process development and technology transfer initiatives.
- Data Interpretation
- Interpret analytical data and process data accurately.
- Evaluate experimental outcomes and provide scientific inputs for process optimization.
- Documentation
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Investigation Reports, and related scientific and process development documentation.
Educational Qualification
Required Qualification
Candidates should possess one of the following qualifications:
- M.Sc. in Biotechnology or Biochemistry
- OR
- M.Tech. in Biotechnology or Biochemistry
Experience Requirements
Required Experience
- 2 to 4 years of relevant industry experience.
Required Technical Skills
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Expertise in downstream processing of biologics
- Knowledge of recombinant protein purification
- Knowledge of monoclonal antibody purification processes
- Proficiency in chromatographic techniques and systems
- Experience operating TFF systems
- Experience with filtration systems
