Educational Qualification
Ph.D. in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / Cancer Biology or equivalent discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 4 years post-PhD research experience supported by excellent publications.
Required Expertise
- Independent Research Record: Demonstrated ability in independent research with publications in peer-reviewed international journals.
- Technical Expertise: Experience with Patient-Derived Organoids (PDOs) and Patient-Derived Xenografts (PDXs) and capable of supervising an organoid facility.
- Research Focus: Experience in rare, aggressive, and therapy-resistant cancers.
- Scientific Knowledge: Strong knowledge in cell and molecular biology, cancer signaling pathways, and drug response assays.
Responsibilities
- Carry out independent research in PDOs & PDXs model systems.
- Provide scientific oversight for model system facilities for translational and preclinical research.
- Conduct research on rare and aggressive cancers.
- Guide PhD students and propose new courses within graduate programs.
- Collaborate with clinicians and support ACTREC core research facilities.
