- Project Title: Mapping and transfer of novel resistance gene for multiple biotic stresses in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) – Funded by DBT
Qualifications
- Essential: Ph.D. in Genetics/Plant Breeding/Genetics and Plant Breeding/Biotechnology or equivalent degree, or having 3 years of research experience with at least one research paper in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
- Desirable: Experience in high throughput marker analysis, handling bioinformatic tools, and exposure to phenotyping of field crops.
Emoluments: Rs. 47,000 + 24% HRA

Terms & Conditions
- Age limit is 40 years for Research Associate (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC).
- The post is purely temporary and subject to performance, initially up to December 26, 2026, or until the completion of the project.
- The selected candidate will not have the right to claim regular appointment due to the project’s co-terminus nature.
- Candidates must fill the application form (as per enclosed format), include scanned certificates from matriculation onwards, date of birth certificate, NET/equivalent certificate, degree certificates (original or provisional) and a recent photograph. Proof of experience and publications are also required.
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
- Only candidates with the essential qualifications will be entertained for the interview.
- Concealing facts or canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification or termination.
- Candidates intending to attend the interview with a relative employed at ICAR/IARI must declare the relationship in writing before the interview.
- All candidates must submit a duly signed declaration as per the format annexed.
- Disputes, if any, will be resolved under the jurisdiction of New Delhi court only.
