- Principal Investigator: Dr. Kaushik Das
- Number of Positions: 1
- Monthly Emoluments: ₹37,000 per month Plus 24% HRA
- Application Deadline: Submit applications before 08-06-2026 midnight
Research Description
Nephrotic syndrome (NS) is a common kidney disease in children, with an incidence of 2–7 per 100,000 children annually.
Although many children respond positively to steroid treatments, frequent relapses make it essential to predict corticosteroid responsiveness for improved prognosis and treatment planning. Current diagnostic markers such as serum albumin and proteinuria are insufficient because of the disease’s complexity and variable patient responses.
This project aims to develop a transcriptomics-based chip using global RNA sequencing to identify important lncRNA-miRNA-mRNA expression signatures associated with disease progression and steroid responsiveness. The research ultimately seeks to support personalized therapy and improved disease management in children with nephrotic syndrome.
