Job Details:

The above position is completely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The fellowship amount for the above positions is as sanctioned in the project and as per DBT/DST norms. The initial appointment will be for one year or till the tenability of the project whichever is earlier and the same can be curtailed/extended based on assessment of the candidate’s performance and discretion of the Competent
Authority

  • Project titled: “Unlocking frost resilience in chickpea: Genome-wide mapping, resource profiling, and functional validation of novel long noncoding RNA regulators.”
  • PI: Dr. Shiv Kumar Meena
  • Emoluments: ₹37,000/- + 30% HRA per month
  • Nature of Post: Purely temporary and co-terminus with project
  • Upper Age Limit: 50 years
  • Interview Mode: Walk-in (no TA/DA)

Educational Requirements:

  • four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Natural or agricultural sciences or a Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences from a recognized university or equivalent and fulfilling the guidelines as per ANRF OM: ANRF/OM/N-01/2024 dated 14/10/2024

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research under PMECRG-funded project
  • Assist in genome-wide mapping and molecular biology experiments
  • Handle laboratory work, resource profiling, and data analysis
  • Maintain project-related documentation and reporting
  • Collaborate with the project team for experimental validation

Skills Required:

  • Strong background in life sciences or agricultural sciences
  • Research aptitude with understanding of genomics/biotechnology
  • Ability to conduct experiments independently
  • Good communication and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with plant research methodologies
