Junior Research Fellow Position in BRNS Sponsored Project
Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow in the Department of Biological Sciences at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus, Goa for a Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS) sponsored research project titled “Editing of Plasma Membrane Intrinsic Protein for the Development of Rice with Reduced Arsenic in Shoots and Grains”.
Principal Investigator: Prof. Kundan Kumar
Co-Investigator: Prof. Saroj Sundar Baral
Broad area of Research: Plant Biotechnology
Duration of the project: 3 years
Fellowship Amount (Rs.): 37000 per month
Accommodation: Hostel accommodation will be provided subject to availability and will be governed by the rules and regulations of the Institute prevailing at the time of joining of the candidate.
Qualification:
Candidates having M.E. /M.Tech. /M.Sc. degree from recognized University in Biotechnology/ Life Sciences/ Botany/ Biochemistry with minimum 60% marks or equivalent. NET/GATE qualification will be preferred. Experience in Plant Molecular Biology including gene cloning, plant transformation and tissue culture is desirable.
