Position Summary:
Lilac Insights is seeking a skilled and motivated Genome Analyst to join our dynamic team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in genomics and variant interpretation, with hands-on experience in analyzing next-generation sequencing (NGS) data including whole-genome and whole-exome sequencing. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a cutting-edge diagnostic environment focused on delivering high-quality genomic insights for patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze and interpret Whole-Genome Sequencing (WGS) and Whole-Exome Sequencing (WES) data
• Perform variant annotation, classification, and reporting using established tools and databases
• Apply ACMG guidelines for variant interpretation and classification
• Integrate and visualize large genomic datasets using relevant tools and platforms
• Work collaboratively with clinical and technical teams to deliver accurate and timely results
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advances in genomic medicine and variant interpretation
• Contribute to improving bioinformatics pipelines and workflows for increased efficiency
Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Master’s degree in Genomics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Genetics, Biotechnology, or a related field
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in genomic data analysis (WGS/WES)
• Proficiency in tools for data integration, annotation, and visualization
• Strong understanding of molecular genetics, mutational mechanisms, and genetic disorders
• In-depth knowledge of ACMG variant classification guidelines
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-based setting
