Key Responsibilities
• Conduct literature review and analyze scientific papers relevant to ongoing research projects.
• Develop and optimize experimental protocols for molecular biology and wet lab procedures.
• Perform routine wet lab techniques such as nucleic acid (DNA/RNA) extraction, PCR, gel electrophoresis, and quantification.
• Maintain accurate lab notebooks, SOPs, and data documentation.
• Analyze experimental results and interpret data using appropriate scientific tools.
• Collaborate with senior scientists in executing research projects.
• Assist in writing research papers, technical reports, and documentation.
• Support lab maintenance tasks including preparation of reagents and basic upkeep of lab equipment.
• Follow laboratory safety protocols and ensure adherence to SOPs.
Educational Qualifications
• Minimum: B.Sc. in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or Life Sciences, Molecular Biology
• Preferred: M.Sc. in Biotechnology or related fields with hands-on molecular biology experience
• Freshers with strong academic projects or internships in molecular biology are encouraged to apply.
Desired Skills & Experience
• Proficiency in molecular biology techniques such as:
o DNA/RNA extraction
o Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR)
o Agarose gel electrophoresis
o Basic spectrophotometry and quantification methods
• Familiarity with maintaining lab records and working under SOPs
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a research setting
• Good communication and documentation skills
