Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on “Elucidating the role of unconventional myosins in maintaining the dynamics of autophagic flux” under the guidance of Principal Investigator Prof. Ravi Manjithaya, Molecular Biology and Genetics Unit (MBGU), JNCASR, Bengaluru 560 064.

| 01 | DBT Junior Research Fellowship [JRF] (Remuneration Rs. 31,000 plus 24% HRA)
Essential Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Life Sciences/ Post Graduate degree in the professional course selected through a process described through any one of the following: a.) Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Test – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship and GATE b.) The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc. Additional Requirements: Proficiency in mammalian cell culture, fluorescence microscopy and related techniques such as immunofluorescence, live cell imaging, image analysis and statistics; expertise in molecular biology techniques and biochemical techniques such as western blotting and immunoprecipitation. Desirable Qualification: Preference will be given to candidates with prior research experience in C. elegans culturing and good communication and presentation skills. Candidate should be a team player. |
