The Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB) is inviting applications for the Project Scientist-I position in an ICMR-funded project focused on combating antibiotic resistance. This exciting opportunity, under the guidance of Dr. Mahendran K R, is based at BRIC-RGCB, Thiruvananthapuram. Candidates with expertise in Microbiology, Biophysical techniques, and Molecular Biology are encouraged to apply. The deadline for applications is March 23, 2025.

Job Title: Project Scientist-I

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• MSc or equivalent degree in any branch of Life sciences, with 70% marks.
• Minimum of 6 months of documented experience in Microbiology.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in Biophysical techniques.
• Experience in molecular and cell biology techniques like PCR, cloning, transformation, protein purification.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

• Should be able to perform microbiological assays (eg: MIC) and handle bacterial strains.

AGE

Below 35 years as on March 23, 2025. Age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India norms.

EMOLUMENT

₹56,000/- + 20% HRA per month.

DURATION

For a period of one year or till termination of the project (whichever is earlier) and extendable based on the performance evaluation.

SELECTION PROCESS
