About You
Educational Qualification for Associate Content Editor:
- Educational Qualification: M.Sc. Zoology or related life science streams.
- Fresher or experience in content analysis/ content editing in a science-related field or in a related publication domain.
- Freshers are preferred only if they have Masters in Zoology
- Knowledge on animal classification, systematic taxonomy & Nomenclature will be added advantage.
- Knowledge in performing end-of-production cycle completeness and accuracy tasks as assigned.
- Good scientific research and analytical skills, with attention to detail
- General computer proficiency (MS Office) and ability to quickly learn new software tools
- Good oral and written communication skills, with excellent command of English
- A good team player with the ability to work independently
- Ability to set priorities and be flexible in a changing environment
- Effective time management
- Self-motivated with the ability to deliver consistently
It would be great if you also had . . .
- A PhD or postgraduate background in zoology would be beneficial.
What will you be doing as Associate Content Editor?
- Apply zoology, systematic taxonomy, ICZN Nomenclature, microbiology, genetics, and molecular biology concepts to curate animal and its biological data from research articles in line with editorial policies
- Achieve weekly production volumes and consistently meet quality targets
- Take an active role within the team to ensure targets are met
- Maintain a flexible and adaptable approach toward process change
- Take initiative by raising, discussing, and resolving subject matter and production issues
- Maintain and develop scientific knowledge and skills training as required to complete work and stay current on scientific trends and developments related to your editorial responsibilities

About the Team
It is an international team based in India and UK that works mainly for the Zoological Record product. It is part of the Selective indexed product team that is responsible for the selection and indexing of relevant academic items for inclusion in several Clarivate products such as Zoological Record, Derwent Drug File, or the International Pharmaceutical Abstracts, among others.
Hours of Work: This is a full-time permanent position
