Applications are invited from highly motivated and bright candidates for Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) engagement in the research project funded by ICMR, Government of India, at the Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali.
Title of the Research Project: Netrin-1 Centric Precision Therapy for Cervical Cancer Treatment by Integrating Computer Modelling, Experimental Methods, and Nanoformulation with Protein-ligand Interactions.
Nature of the Project: Computational Chemistry/Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Bioinformatics. This project will be conducted in close collaboration with the experimental work of Dr. Deepika Sharma (Principal Investigator).

Qualifications:
Essential:
- First Class Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG Degrees in Computational Chemistry/Biology/(bio) Physics/BioSciences/Chemical Biology/Bioinformatics or related areas.
- OR Second Class Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degree with PhD in Computational Chemistry/Biology/(bio) Physics/BioSciences/Chemical Biology/Bioinformatics or related areas.
• Desirable Experience: - Research experience in Computational Biology/Chemistry and Bioinformatics
- Molecular Dynamics Simulations
- Programming knowledge in Python
- Experience in handling big data and Data Analysis, Density Functional Theory (DFT)
Age Limit: Must not be over 35 years as of 03.03.2025, which is relaxable for specific reserved categories as per the rules of the Government of India.
Fellowship: Rs. 56,000/- pm + 20% HRA

Mode of Interview: Hybrid mode (Online/Offline)
Duration: Initially, it will be one year and may be extended based on the candidate’s performance and availability of funds.
General Terms and Conditions:
- The position is purely temporary and renewable each year, subject to satisfactory performance, for a maximum of four years/till the completion of the project, whichever is earlier. The position is co-terminus with the project.
- No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview.
- Original documents of age proof/certificates/degrees/mark sheets and other testimonials must be presented along with self-attested photocopies of these documents at the interview (when the interview is held in person ).
- Only shortlisted candidates will be communicated to appear in the interview through email, and no other communication in this regard will be entertained.
