The Senior Scientist Translational Science (Clinical) is responsible for understanding what is needed to infuse consumer centricity into our projects. The individual will be able to identify consumer and clinical insights that can be turned into product experiences and superiority. You will also be responsible to ensure that new products are deployed with the consumer in mind and science-backed, making recommendations on product testing. You will have the opportunity to showcase your capability across a wide portfolio of well-known brands including NEUTROGENA®, AVEENO®, Stayfree®, ORSL®, and many others.
Key Responsibilities as Senior Scientist R&D
- Responsible for adapting and planning various types of studies, make recommendations on protocol design and data interpretation to generate scientific evidence for aligned objectives.
- Make recommendations on study methodologies and incorporate into learning plans, visualization, demo, and communication of product benefits.
- Provide clinical research and claim support expertise and support deployment during product development.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements and trends in the relevant field and industry.
- Identify insights that might be valuable to projects, work with the cross-functional team to turn those insights into actionable items for R&D.
- Implement studies, analyze and interpret the results into scientific learnings and report evidence back scientific communication.
- Partner with various stakeholders (i.e. R&D teams, data scientists, commercial functions) to identify how to leverage consumer, in vitro, and clinical data for claims.
- Expected to build in-depth consumer understanding and scientific expertise across APAC with a focus on Japan, China & India.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or above in Life Science/(Pediatric) Dermatology/Nutrition/Oral Care/Pharmacology/Biophysics/Public Health/Epidemiology/Evidence-based medicine and related fields
- Relevant experience in Science Translation, PhD-1+ year, MS-2+ years, with a proven track record of success on Fundamental or Clinical research experience with Claim/technical regulation/Upstream innovation, Clinical Science/Medical Science Liaison can be a plus.
- Being able to connect cross-functionally to determine testing needs for various projects. These projects can fall under any of our segments (Essential Health, Skin Health, and Beauty, Self Care).
- Up to 10% international travel may be needed.
Desired Qualifications for Senior Scientist R&D
- Previous experience in Clinical Research and Data Science, Claim support, and substantiation.
- Familiar with FMCG, Healthcare including Nutrition/Skin/Oral/FamCare industry and regulation, science, and technology, but open to relevant fields.
- Previous experience in research and evaluation methods, scientific evidence generation, and data interpretation.
- Demonstrated track record of learning agility, partnership and communication, problem-solving with critical and analytical thinking.
