Indian nationals are invited for an Interview (through Skype/Google Meet/Zoom/in-person) on 14th February 2025 at 2 PM for two (02) temporary positions of Project Research Scientist-I under the project “AI-Enhanced Predictive Modeling of Oncogenic Crosstalk and Prognosis: Unraveling the Regulatory Network of IQGAP1, IQGAP2, EEF1A2, and FRG1 protein complex in Breast Cancer Progression” in the School of Biological Sciences, NISER, Bhubaneswar, funded by ICMR, GOI.

Essential Qualifications:

• Postgraduate degree, including an integrated PG degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or Life Sciences.
• These qualifications must be obtained from a recognized Board/University/Institute.

Desired Qualification:

• Hands-on experience in animal cell culture, cell-based assays, molecular biology, and cell biology techniques.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to recruit human subjects for research projects and process human biological samples.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Recruitment: Collaborate with clinical teams to recruit cancer patients for research studies.
• Laboratory Work: Perform molecular and cell biology techniques, maintain and handle animal cell lines, conduct advanced microscopy and imaging, culture bacteria, handle small animals, analyze human biological samples for gene and protein expression, and other associated research activities.

Additional Details

Monthly Emoluments: ₹56,000/- pm plus HRA as per rules.

Age Limit: 35 years as on 9th February 2025, with age relaxation for entitled categories as per GOI rules.

Duration: The position is purely temporary for a period of one year or until project completion, whichever is earlier. Tenure may be extended based on the candidate’s satisfactory performance and extension of the project by the funding agency.

Note: This position is strictly co-terminus with the project and does not confer any right/claim for consideration/absorption against any NISER post.
