Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal invites applications for the below mentioned positions to work under BIRAC (Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council) funded project titled “ClimaTickNet: Mapping the spatial and temporal networks of climatic factors influencing Ixodid tick abundance and tick-borne pathogens in the Western ghats, India” at the Manipal Institute of Virology (MIV), Manipal.
Positions:
Post I
Principal Project Associate (one position)
Qualifications: MSc in Entomology/ Virology/ Microbiology/ Life Science/ Zoology
Desirable: Expertise in molecular assays and sequencing techniques applied to the study of infectious diseases. Candidates with experience in tick-borne diseases and demonstrated project management skills will be given strong preference.

Post II
Project Assistant (Two Posts)
Qualification: BSc MLT/ Microbiology/Life Science/Zoology
Desirable: Experience in Molecular laboratory activities and field activities.

Remuneration (INR/month): Rs. 20,000 + 8% HRA (Rs. 21,600/- p.m.)

Duration of engagement: Initially for a period of One year and extendable up to
