Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary position of one Student Trainee for two months under the Scientific Social Responsibility (SSR) head of SERB-CRG project entitled “Investigating the synergistic epigenetic and post-transcriptional gene silencing mechanism involved in the regulation of flavonoid biosynthesis in banana (Musa sp.)”, under the supervision of Dr. Ashutosh Pandey, Scientist, NIPGR.
Student Trainee (One Post):
- Consolidated emoluments `. 5000/- per month as sanctioned in the project.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates currently pursuing the B.Sc./B.Tech/B.Eng./M.Sc. in any discipline of Life Sciences/BS-MS dual degree with biology as a major subject are eligible to apply.
- The tenure of the position is for two months and is not extendable.
Desirable Criteria:
- Basic knowledge of molecular biology tools and techniques.
- Experience handling plants such as rice and Arabidopsis will be preferred.
Additional Information:
- The above position is completely on a temporary basis for two months and co-terminus with the project.
- The fellowship/emolument amount for the above position is as sanctioned in the project.
- The appointment will be for two months and may be curtailed based on assessment of the candidate’s performance and discretion of the Competent Authority.
- NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
- Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms.
- The appointment may be terminated at any time by giving one month’s notice by either side.
- The applicants will have no implicit or explicit claim for consideration against any regular position of NIPGR.

Incomplete applications and lack of supporting educational certificates will be rejected.
- Candidates must ascertain their eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed.
- Interview link will only be sent to shortlisted candidates.
