ADVERTISEMENT FOR JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (JRF) POSITION

NIMHANS invites applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) on a contractual basis under the DBT-funded project titled: “Elucidating the Neurosteroid and Neuronal Plasticity Mechanisms of Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) in a Rat Model”.

Position Name: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Number of Posts: 01 (One)

Educational Qualifications:

Essential: 

• MPhil in Neurophysiology / Neurosciences
• OR Master’s Degree in Neurosciences / Physiology / Life Sciences / M. S. (Pharm) or M. Pharm in Pharmacology or Biotechnology, or equivalent Master’s degree with a good academic record.

Desirable: Experience in evaluation of behaviors in rodents, ex-vivo electrophysiology, pharmacological assessment, stereotactic surgery in rodents, and neurohistology.

Research Experience: 1–2 years in Neurophysiology, Neuroscience, or Neuropsychopharmacology.

Age Limit: Maximum 28 years.

Emoluments: ₹37,000 + 27% HRA per month.

Project Duration: 3 years (initial appointment for 6 months, extendable based on performance).
