Role Description
- Answer technical queries related to the Biology business assigned to SBS Technical Service.
- Respond to Tier-1 inquiries, including documentation, cross-referencing, and easy-to-find product information for the SLS business.
- Investigate, analyze, and retrieve technical information to answer customers’ technical queries; support the APAC and EEMEA regions.
- Provide scientific responses to biology questions and solutions to customers’ research challenges using scientific knowledge and available resources, consulting with more experienced scientists when needed.
- Uphold the company’s reputation as a source of scientific information, a leader in Life Science and High Technology, and promote our commitment to service excellence.
- Enhance product information databases by documenting technical insights from customer interactions.
- Recommend products that align with customer needs and research objectives.
- Document product quality issues, errors, and notify the relevant department for updates to company electronic and printed publications.
- Record all customer interactions and requests for new products.
- Contribute to company/department operations and support process improvement efforts.
- Suggest and participate in process improvement initiatives.
- Actively engage in intra- and inter-departmental teams as assigned.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the reporting Manager.
- Maintain exemplary attendance and adherence to the schedule.
Job Requirements
- Educational Background: Masters in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related fields.
- Experience: 3-5 years in R&D or Technical services within the life science or pharmaceutical industry.
Desired Previous Experience:
- Roles in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Protein Technologies, Cell Culture, Immunology, Proteomics
- Experience as Lab, QA/QC, Life Science Specialist, R&D Lab Technician
- Background in Research and Technical Support, specifically in Cell and Molecular Biology or Biotechnology.
