Project Name: “Role of TRIM family proteins in megakaryocyte development/maturation and platelet production in dengue virus-induced thrombocytopenia”
Applications are invited for research internship/training of 2 months duration in the above-mentioned SERB–SRG project (as per SERB Scientific Social Responsibility Policy) in the laboratory of Dr. Anismrita Lahon, Department of Viral Vaccines, Institute of Advanced Virology.

Eligibility:
- Students currently pursuing M.Sc. in life science subjects (last year/semester).
- Must have obtained a minimum of 60% or equivalent CGPA in graduation.
- Must have obtained 70% marks in the 1st year or 2nd semester of M.Sc. Programme.
Duration: 2 months (from 1st January 2025 to 28th February 2025)
Stipend: Rs. 5,000/- per month

Selection Procedure:
- Applications will be initially screened and short-listed based on the eligibility criteria.
- If the number of applications received is more, the screening committee may fix a higher criterion to shortlist the applications.
- The shortlisted candidates will be called for an examination and/or interview, and the final selection will be based on performance in the interview.
Notes:
- The applicants should upload a letter of authorization from the Head of the Department/Head of the Institution recommending the candidate specifically for this internship.
- Self-attested copies of certificates of graduation and marksheet of the 1st year/2nd or 3rd semester of M.Sc. should be uploaded along with the application.
- A one-page handwritten write-up about the applicant’s understanding of the project and the expected outcome from the internship has to be submitted along with the application.
- Canvassing in any form is not permitted, and any interim inquiry will not be entertained.
- The Director, IAV reserves the right to decide on any matter related to the selection procedure, including cancellation of the selection process, if circumstances demand so.
- The selected candidate is required to attend the internship for the full duration.
- Candidates must arrange their own accommodation and commutation during the training period, as hostel facilities are currently not available at IAV.
