POSITION FOR ONE POST OF JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW

Applications are invited by the undersigned from eligible candidates for ONE post of Junior Research Fellow in the following research project sponsored by the Central Silk Board, Government of India, in this Institute.

Title of the project: “Optimization of preservation techniques and quality assessment of mulberry and eri pupae for human consumption” (Project Code: BPS 01045 MNC)

1. Tenure of the project: August 2024 to February 2026, completion of the project/whichever is earlier.
2. Essential Qualifications: First class (equivalent to 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates)) M.Sc in Food Science/Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Sericulture/Life Sciences.
3. Desirable Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge/practical experience in nutrient analysis, microbial culturing, and metagenomics.
4. Emoluments: Rs. 21,000 + HRA (as per eligibility)
5. Nature of work: Assisting in developing preservation techniques and conducting quality assessments of mulberry and eri pupae for human consumption. This includes fieldwork, demonstrations, data collection, and analysis, as well as frequent travel between collaborating institutes within the country.

2. Time: 10:30 AM (Candidates should reach the venue by 9:30 AM for verification of documents, with 2 (Two) Photographs).
3. Entry of candidates will be permitted only till 12 Noon.

5. No TA/DA will be provided to attend the interview.
6. The above-mentioned position is purely temporary on a contractual basis and co-terminus with the project. Further claims for any post will not be entertained thereafter.

8. The decision of the Director shall be final and binding in all respects.
