Advertisement for Walk-in Interview for the Post of Young Professionals in ICAR funded Consortia Research Platform on Vaccines and Diagnostics

Walk-in-interview will be held on 18th July 2024 at 10.30am at ICAR–IVRI, Hebbal, Bengaluru – 560024 for filling up the post of Young Professional I (IT, One position) and Young Professional II (Two positions) in the ICAR funded Consortia Research Platform on Vaccines and Diagnostics, undertaken at FMD Research Centre, ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Hebbal, Bengaluru. The position is purely temporary, with an initial appointment for one year and extendable solely based on performance. Details of posts, age limit, qualification etc as indicated below: –

Name of the Post & No. of Posts: Young Professional II, Two positions

Education Qualification required: Postgraduates in Life Science/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/Molecular Biology/Biochemistry OR Graduate degree holders in Agriculture Science/Technology (includes all Agriculture & allied sciences, Animal Science, Veterinary science)

Desirable Experience: 1-2 years work experience. Experience in virus isolation, cell culture, extraction of nucleic from biological samples

, PCR, analysis of gene sequence, cloning, expression, SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, Protein purification, etc.

Emoluments (per month): Rs.42000/- (consolidated)

Terms and conditions:

1. Above position is purely temporary & time bound and may be terminated by the Competent Authority without assigning any reason.
2. Registration will begin at 9.30am and closes at 10.30am on 18/7/2024.
3. Candidates should bring detailed bio-data affixing a recent passport size photograph.
4. Place of work will be at FMD Research Centre (Main Lab), ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Hebbal, Bengaluru.
5. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in lnterview.
6. The Director’s decision will be final and binding in all respects.
7. Only Indian citizens are eligible for appearing in the walk-in-interview.
8. The minimum age will be 21 years and maximum age is 45 years as on last date of submission of application through email with relaxation as per rules.
9. Period of contract is one year and extendable for one more year based on performance.
10. The Young Professional position is purely on temporary basis. The selected candidatesshall have no right/claim for regular appointment or absorption at ICAR-IVRI at any point of time.
11. Only the candidates having essential qualification will only be considered for interview.
12. Candidates are requested to ensure their eligibility like age, qualification etc. before appearing for the interview.
13. Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to cancellation of candidature or termination.
14. Person already in employment should submit “No Objection Certificate” from their present employer.
15. The selected candidates will be stationed at IVRI, Bengaluru and may have to conduct field work involving frequent travel, laboratory works and survey as and when required.
16. Selected candidates will be required to produce all original documents at the time of joining for verification purpose.
17. The selected candidate will be required to produce medical certificate at the time of joining.
18. The Director reserves the rights to cancel/postpone the interview without assigning any reason thereof.
19. The decision of the Director, ICAR-IVRI, will be final and binding on all aspects.
20. The Director shall also reserve the right to terminate the contract of job as mentioned above, even before the completion of one year for which no appeal thereof shall be made.
