Applications are invited from eligible candidates, for filling up the below mentioned post on contract basis for Viral Research and Diagnostic Laboratory (VRDL) at National Institute of Mental Health & Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru (Medical College Level VRDL) under the approved scheme of the Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India on “Setting up of Nation-wide Network of Laboratories for Managing Epidemics and National calamities” through ICMR under Dr. Reeta S. Mani, Principal Investigator, Professor & Head, Department of Neurovirology.

Essential Qualifications: PhD in Microbiology / Virology / Life Sciences. MSc in Medical/Clinical Microbiology or Medical/Clinical Virology with 3 years experience in relevant field

Desirable Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Computer Applications /Data Management
• Preference will be given to candidates with Diagnostic/Research/Teaching Experience in Clinical/Medical Microbiology/Virology

Max. age limit:

Emoluments: Rs. 56,000/- + 27% HRA per month

Duration of the post: Initial appointment will be made for a period of 6 months, which will be extended to 1 year depending upon the performance of the candidate.
