Patanjali Herbal Research Division focuses on documentation, analysis, designing, and project executions of different themes aligned with the aims and scope of Patanjali institutions. With around 150 well-trained scientists specializing in Botany, Taxonomy, Microbiology, Biotechnology, etc., we collaborate on various academic research projects related to plant-based medicine, yoga, and related fields. Our goal is to conduct extensive research for scientific and empirical evidence supporting the therapeutic effects of selected areas. We publish numerous research and review articles in journals of national and international repute, providing global visibility for Yoga and Ayurveda with supportive and authenticated data. Job Profile: Research Scientist – Microbiologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced microbiologist with a Ph.D. in Microbiology or a related field. The ideal candidate

will have a specialization that aligns with our organization’s needs and a proven track record in sludge management. As a Microbiologist, you will play a key role in our research and development team, contributing to the advancement of our sludge management technologies and strategies.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Ph.D. in Microbiology or a related field, with a specialization relevant to sludge management preferred.
  • Proven experience in microbiological research related to sludge management, preferably in an industrial or environmental setting.
  • Strong knowledge of microbiological techniques, including culturing, isolation, and characterization of microorganisms.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex microbiological data.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Scope of work includes, but is not limited to the following:

  • Conduct research and experiments to study the microbiological aspects of sludge management processes.
  • Develop and optimize microbiological methods for the treatment and disposal of sludge.
  • Analyze data and prepare reports on microbiological findings related to sludge management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate microbiological insights into overall sludge management strategies.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in microbiology and sludge management to drive innovation in our practices.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to internal and external stakeholders on microbiological aspects of sludge management.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in microbiology and sludge management practices.

Other Requirements:

  • Be a good listener and have an open mind to suggestions and feedback from peers, team members, and seniors.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and complete tasks within deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools.
  • Participate in projects, committees, or task forces as assigned by departmental supervisor.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Be generally aware of best practices and business/industry trends in microbiology.
  • Participate in VC/audio calls along with your manager and record the minutes as required.
