Project Technician III

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal, invites applications for the position of Project Technician III for the ICMR-funded research project titled “Understanding the effect of diabetes mellitus on immunometabolic response to Burkholderia pseudomallei in Indian patients” at the Center for Emerging and Tropical Diseases (CETD), Department of Biochemistry, Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Manipal.

Project Technician III (1 Post)

Eligibility: M.Sc./ M.Tech. in Microbiology/ Biotechnology / Cell Biology/ Molecular Biology/ Biochemistry or related preferably OR DMLT/BSc MLT with a good academic track record.

Job Description: Proficiency in bacteriological work and mammalian cell culturing; patient sample handling. Keeping stock records for consumables. Working knowledge of PBMC isolation, flow cytometry/ FACS, western blot, immunoassays is added advantage. Scientific article writing skills needed. Time deadline-oriented job delivery is expected.

Salary: Rs. 18,000 + 8% HRA per month
