Recruitment of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the DST-SERB Funded Project
Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the project in DST-SERB Start-Up Research Grant (SRG) – SRG/2023/002081
- Name of the Post: Junior Research Fellow
- Number of Post: 1 (One)
- Title of the Research Project: Smart Polymeric Scaffold for Culturing Cancer Tumoroids: Enhancing Growth and Real-Time Monitoring of Tumor Microenvironment
- Name of the funding agency: DST-SERB, Govt. of India
- Duration of the project: Two years
- Emoluments: Rs. 31,000/- + 24 % HRA per month for candidate with CSIR-NET/GATE. For non CSIR-NET/GATE qualified candidates, the stipend will be paid as per the Institute’s norms
Essential Qualification: Candidates with CSIR NET, Master’s degree (M.Sc) in Biotechnology, Nanotechnology or a Master’s in Technology (M.Tech.) in Biotechnology
Required Skills:
- Experience in Fluorescence spectroscopy
- Experience in Electrospinning
- Experience in Fluorescence microscopy
- Experience in 3D cell culture would be preferred
Desirable:
- Passion towards research, developing new experimental setups
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Aspiration to pursue a Ph.D. on the project topic

- Tenure of the project fellow will be initially for a period of one year and will be extended to 2nd year based on satisfactory performance. The above position is purely temporary for the said project period only. The project fellow could be terminated depending upon his/her performance without giving any prior notice. The selected project fellow may be assigned to perform any other duties time to time commensurate with his/her qualifications.
