We are #hiring – Upstream Process development for E. coli

Location: HiMedia Laboratories Pvt. Ltd. C-40, Thane

Position Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

1. Transformation, E. coli culture, Starter culture generation
2. Establish and execute experimental plans, including the design of experiments (DOE), to evaluate and improve fermenter process parameters and operation.
3. Handle fermenters ranging from 1L, 5L, 10L and 50L capacity.
4. Prepare BMR and Tech transfer documents.
5. Collaborate cross-functionally with colleagues from downstream process development, analytical characterization and others.
6. Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency, productivity and scalability.

Qualifications:

1. M. Sc./M. Tech in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Life sciences or a related field with 3-6 years of experience in E. coli upstream process development. Experience in recombinant protein purification will be added advantage.
2. Strong knowledge of process optimization for recombinant protein expression from E. coli
3. Experience in handling fermenter is must.
4. Experience in purification of His Tagged protein using Ni-NTA is highly desirable.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
