Advertisement for the position of Project Assistant (position code- SBS-RPA-01)
Applications are invited for the position of Project Assistant in the School of Biosciences at Chanakya University, Devanahalli. The successful candidates will participate in the ongoing research projects of the faculty and provide support for the operations of the laboratory and the school. The positions are purely temporary and coterminous with the project. The position will be available initially for one year and can be extended based on the performance.
Responsibilities:
Project assistants will participate in the ongoing research projects of the faculty and will also provide support for the maintenance of the equipment and laboratory space.
Essential Qualifications, Experiences, and Skills for Project Assistant (position code- SBS-RPA-01):
- Master’s degree (M.Sc. OR equivalent) in Life Sciences/ Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/ Zoology/ Genetics or related subjects with at least 60% of marks or 6.50 CGPA from a recognized university.
- Hands-on experience in any of the research areas including Cell and Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology and Immunology, computational studies such as Genomics, Structural biology, Drug discovery and Bioinformatics
- Good IT skills including the use of Microsoft Office packages.
- Ability to carry out basic maintenance of general lab equipment and resources.
- Good organizational and prioritization skills, ability to maintain accurate records.
- Team player and willingness to learn.
Desirable Experiences and Skills:
- Experience of working in industry/ academic institutes/ R&D laboratories
Remuneration: Remuneration will be commensurate with expertise and experience
