Title: Senior Scientist – Gene Therapy & Cell Engineering
Location: Full-time, Bengaluru
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Scientist with expertise in Molecular Biology, Gene Editing, and Cell Biology to join our team. This role will involve applying synthetic biology techniques to optimize DNA and RNA constructs for gene therapies. Your lab experience and passion for innovation will be valuable assets in driving our initiatives forward.
Responsibilities:
- Apply synthetic biology principles to optimize DNA and RNA constructs.
- Conduct tissue culture, cell line maintenance, and viability assays.
- Perform human cell transfections, transductions, plasmid generation, DNA isolation, and in-vitro transcription.
- Innovate assays and constructs for human cell modification.
- Assess novel technologies for gene delivery and integration.
- Analyze, document, and present findings compliant with standards.
- Formulate reports, contribute to publications, and deliver presentations.
- Flexibility for occasional weekend and evening work may be needed.
- Engage in assigned tasks to support research.
Basic Qualifications & Skills:
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Virology, or Gene Therapy.
- 2-5 years of relevant work experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Plasmid, dsDNA, mRNA constructs, gene editing, PCR, NGS, and cell culture.
- Experience with electroporation and cell transfection assays.
- Exposure to gene therapy, viral vectors, and transduction methods.
- Experience with lentiviral vectors desirable.
- Ability to design, conduct, analyze, and present research.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
