Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Bioinformatician: Junior Research Fellow at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) located in Bengaluru. The job involves conducting research, NGS data analysis, developing algorithms, analyzing and interpreting data, and contributing to various projects.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, and Java
- Experience in analyzing omics data (e.g., genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics)
- Ability to write clear and concise code and documentation
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, life science or a related field
Candidates with experience in working on interdisciplinary projects and a willingness to learn new techniques and approaches are preferred.
