Applications are invited for the following posts in DBT-BIRAC-NBM supported ‘Technology Transfer Office (TTO)’ at BCIL:
I. Senior IP Manager – 1 vacancy
Essential Qualifications: Ph. D. / M.Tech. / M.Sc. in Life Sciences / Biotechnology from a recognized University (please mention your year of pass, university/institute name with percentage/CGPA, full time/distance learning course)
Desirable: Registered Patent Agent and/or suitable degree in Intellectual Property Rights from a recognized law college/institute
Desired Experience and Skills:
- 3-4 years of work experience in dealing with Intellectual property (IP) rights related tasks/assignments in India and other jurisdictions
- Good experience in IP analytics and IP Due diligence in all fields of life sciences
- Strong working knowledge and understanding of patent law, filing and prosecution in India and other jurisdictions
- Experience in working on the formulation of institutional IP Policy
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with patent and claims drafting for biotechnology inventions
Work Profile:
- Conduct all IP analytics assignments
- Coordinate with institutes for their IP management requirements including IP analytics; IP filing and prosecution; and IP advisory.
- IP due diligence for technology assessment reports
- Plan and organize capacity building programmes on IP
Salary: Rs. 60,000 – Rs. 80,000/- per month (Consolidated, commensurate with qualifications and experience)
Age Limit: 40 years (maximum)
The above vacancy is project-based and on a contractual basis, initially for a period of one (1) year. The contract is extendable depending on the annual performance review.
