Job Description
Overview
As an Assistant Manager – SC Quality Control, your main purpose will be to support the delivery of product and packaging quality. You will be responsible for maintaining quality data, implementing quality control systems, ensuring adherence to key controls, coordinating with cross-functional teams, troubleshooting quality concerns, and training and enhancing the skills of QC executives and associates. Your goal will be to ensure the best quality products and minimize customer complaints through stringent quality control checks.
Responsibilities
As the Assistant Manager – SC Quality Control, your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting plant QCM to deliver the best product and packaging quality as per PepsiCo Q&FS standards
- Leading potato and corn quality management to ensure consistently high quality with minimal rejection
- Driving consumer and customer complaint reduction agenda through CAPA implementation
- Implementing and improving Quality Auditing System (QAS) year on year
- Coordinating with R&D and Commercialization teams for new product launches while ensuring Q&FS compliance
- Conducting in-market checks for product and packaging quality to identify improvement opportunities
- Supporting food safety team in compliance audits
- Leading the capability building in the QC team by creating a training calendar and executing training sessions
- Analyzing rejections and working with stakeholders to reduce cost of poor quality
- Ensuring compliance in audits utilizing both physical and virtual means
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Minimum 5/6 years of experience in the food industry, preferably handling shifts
- Exposure to food safety systems and ISO systems, with preferably knowledge of FSSAI, HACCP, AIB, and TPM
- Certification as an internal auditor is desirable
- Strong team management, communication, and collaboration skills
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word
- Proficiency in English and Hindi
- Graduation or post-graduation in Food Technology, Microbiology, or Dairy Technology
