Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in Life Sciences
Institute of Life Sciences (ILS) is an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. We are currently inviting applications from Indian Nationals for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for our project on “Understanding the genetic basis of hearing loss using zebrafish model” funded by SERB. This is a great opportunity to join our research team and contribute to cutting-edge scientific investigations.

Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- + HRA
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates having M.Sc. or an equivalent qualification in Life Sciences or related subjects (Biotechnology/ Biochemistry /Genetics/ Microbiology/ Bioinformatics) with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade point (relaxation will be as per Govt. guideline) are eligible to apply. Candidates should have qualified national level exam such as NET/LS-NET/GATE/GPAT/BET. Candidate with knowledge and experience in genetics or bioinformatics or cell culture or molecular biology techniques will be given preference.
Age Limit: Below 28 years (as on 12.12.2023) with relaxation as per Government of India rules
Selection Process
The selection process consists of application screening followed by an interview. Shortlisted candidates will be notified on the ILS website.
