The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune, established in 2006, is a premier institute dedicated to research and teaching in the basic sciences. It has been declared as an Institute of National Importance by an Act of Parliament. IISER Pune invites applications for the position of Project Associate-I on a purely temporary and contractual basis for a funded project. Minimum Educational Qualification
M.S. / M.Sc. / M.Tech. in Life sciences / Biotechnology with 70% marks or equivalent grade. Additional percentage cut-off may be applied during the screening process if needed.
Preference
Candidates having research experience in Cell, Developmental, and Molecular biology with basic skills in developmental genetics. Cell biology, molecular biology, and biochemistry skills will be preferred. An interest in developmental biology and genetics is desirable.
Tenure of the Appointment
Initially for a period of
one year, extendable for a further period subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the project.Emoluments
- Rs. 25,000/- + 24 % House Rent Allowance
- Rs. 13,-/000 %42 + House Rent
- Allowance based on valid CSIR-NET/GATE / DBT – JRF/ any other National Level Test conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies OR equivalent scorecard.
Age Limit
35 years as on the last date of application. Age relaxation commensurate with educational qualification/s and/or experience/s of the applicant may be considered for candidates having qualifications and experience higher than the advertised with the prior approval of the competent authority.
