Positions available for one Senior Project Fellow, one Junior Project Fellow and Two Project Assistants under Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, Govt. of India sponsored project entitled “Evaluation of “MAK ADJUVOL” as an adjuvant with recommended pesticides in tea (Phase II)” at Entomology Department of Tocklai Tea Research Institute, Tea Research Association, Jorhat-785008, Assam as per following details. The appointments will be purely on temporary contractual basis and hence the Institute will not provide any employment after completion of the project.

Upper Age Limit
: is 35 years.Job Responsibility: The Incumbent will have to supervise overall project related activities, including multilocation field trials, extensive field visits to monitor field trial activities or implementation, data collection, data compilation, report preparation, etc.
Essential Qualification: M.Sc.. in Life Science / Agriculture sciences/ Entomology/ Zoology
Desirable Qualifications and Experience: Minimum two years of research experience, preferably in tea or plantation crops. Knowledge of computer applications and statistics will be preferred.
Monthly Fellowship: Rs. 31,000 + 8% HRA per month

Job Responsibility: The Incumbent will have to conduct field and laboratory experiments, implement treatments, conduct regular disease monitoring data collection, assist in report preparation, etc.
Essential Qualification: M. Sc in Life Science / Botany, Microbiology
Desirable Qualifications and Experience: Knowledge in Plant Pathology Knowledge of computer applications and statistics will be preferred.
Monthly Fellowship: Rs. 20,000 + 8% HRA per month

Monthly Fellowship: Rs. 15,000 + 8% HRA per month
Project Duration: 18 Months only

Question 4: As a Project Fellow, you will be conducting field and laboratory experiments. Can you discuss the significance of conducting experiments in both settings and any challenges you foresee in ensuring consistency across them? Answer: Conducting experiments in both field and laboratory settings is crucial for comprehensive research. Field experiments provide insights into real-world conditions, while laboratory experiments offer controlled environments for precise observations. Ensuring consistency can be challenging due to factors like weather variations affecting field trials. Effective planning, standard protocols, and meticulous record-keeping help mitigate these challenges.
Question 5: The Project Assistant role involves project-related work in the lab or field. Can you share an example of a project-related task you’ve successfully executed and the skills you utilized to accomplish it? Answer: Certainly. In a previous role, I was responsible for collecting soil samples from tea plantations for analysis. This involved careful planning to ensure representative sampling, precision in labeling, and adherence to protocols. My attention to detail, organization skills, and knowledge of laboratory techniques allowed me to execute this task accurately, contributing to reliable data collection for analysis.
