NOTICE
Applications are invited on plain paper for the contractual post of Junior Research Fellow
(JRF) in the ICMR funded project under Dr. Pramod Avti, Associate Professor, Department
of Biophysics, PGIMER, Chandigarh-160012. The post is purely on contract basis subject to
extension by ICMR.

Duration: The above appointment will be purely on a contract basis and likely to continue subject to extension by ICMR.
Qualification: First Class Master’s Degree in Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/ Biochemistry/ Bioinformatics(Life Sciences)from a recognized University.
Desirable: Preference will be given to ICMR/CSIR/NET-JRF qualified candidate, relevant experience in Molecular Biology, cell culture, RNA isolation, cDNA synthesis, qRT-PCR, flow cytometry, Immunohistochemistry and small animal surgeries
and handling is desirable.Pay Scale: As per ICMR rules.

Interested candidates fulfilling the above criteria are required to submit their bio-data/cv and necessary testimonials/certificates on or before 12th September 2023 by 4:00 pm, in the Department of Biophysics, Room No. 520, Research ‘B’ Block, 5th ‘Floor, PGIMER Chandigarh. The short-listed candidates will be intimated through e-mail to attend the interview. No separate interview letters will be sent. No TA/DA will be paid. It is to be noted that the mentioned posts are not PGIMER, Chandigarh or ICMR, New Delhi appointments and will not confer any right on the incumbent to any claim implicit or explicit on any position.

I hold a First Class Master’s Degree in Biotechnology from a recognized University. My education has provided me with a strong foundation in the fundamental aspects of biotechnology.

Answer: I have hands-on experience with qRT-PCR, a crucial method for analyzing gene expression levels. Additionally, I’ve worked with Immunohistochemistry techniques to visualize protein distribution in tissues.
- Question: Have you obtained any qualifying exams like ICMR/CSIR/NET-JRF? If not, how do you plan to compensate for this in your application? Answer: I haven’t qualified for these exams yet.
