Eligible candidates may appear in Walk-In-Interview for the post of Unreserved Temporary Posts of Two SRF under the ongoing ICAR-BNF project.

Name of the Project: Incentivizing Research in Agriculture: Genetic modification to improve biological nitrogen fixation (in bacteria)

Application Instructions: 

  • Age limit: Maximum age is 35 years for SRF position (Age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women, three years for OBC as per GOI/ICAR rules).
  • The positions are purely temporary and will be filled on a contractual basis initially up to March 31, 2024 and extendable till the termination of the project subject to satisfactory performance.
  • Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for the interview.
  • Eligible candidates will have to compulsorily bring all the original degree certificates and mark sheets of 10, 12, UG and PG, NET/equivalent certificate, proof of experience and one set of the self-attested photocopies of all the required certificates from matriculation onwards and an attested copy of recent passport size photograph pasted onto the filled in application form (as per the annexure I & II). Proof of experience and publications also need to be submitted.
  • Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate.
  • The candidate intending to attend the interview, if any of his/her near or distant relative is an employee of the ICAR/IARI, have to declare his/her name, designation, nature of duties, relationship in advance by email ([email protected]) so as to reach by June 20, 2023. If on the date of interview such declaration is furnished and found that his/her relative is an employee of ICAR/IARI, such candidate will not be allowed for interview.
  • All other candidates are required to compulsorily furnish the declaration duly signed in the format (Annexure II) and submit on the date of interview.
  • The selected candidates shall not claim for regular appointment at this institute as the positions are time bound and co-terminus with the project
  • Candidates reaching after specified timing will not be entertained.

Date of the interview: June 26, 2023

Walk-In-Interview will be held (reporting time 9.30-10.30 am) in the Division of Microbiology, IARI, PUSA campus, New Delhi-110012.

Emoluments Fixed per month: Rs. 31000 + HRA/month

*House Rent Allowance (HRA) will be given as per existing Central Government rates applicable in various cities/locations where SRF working on ICAR-funded projects

Minimum Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Plant Biotechnology /Life Sciences/Microbiology with 4/5 years of Bachelor’s degree. Candidates having 3 years bachelor’s degree should have UGC/CSIR/ICAR – NET qualification or equivalent or Ph.D. in any of above disciplines

Desirable Qualification: Experience in molecular microbiology and proficiency in computer skills.
