ONLINE INTERVIEW

Applications are invited to attend Online Interview in the ICAR funded projects entitled “Molecular approaches for mapping of novel gene(s)/ QTL(s) for resistance/ tolerance to different stresses in Rice, Wheat, Chickpea and Indian Mustard including sheath blight complex genomics and resistance mechanisms” purely on contractual basis at Division of Genetics, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi-12, as mentioned below.

Owing to the prevailing COVID-19 crisis, the eligible candidates are requested to send their application in the enclosed proforma along with a self-attested scanned copy of the original documents to the PI’s e-mail addresses as given

below latest by June 1, 2023. After screening the applications, the eligible candidates will be informed about the details of the online interview (Date and Time) by email. Original documents will be verified at the time of appointment. If any candidate is found to have submitted false claims at later stage, their candidature will be summarily rejected.

Terms and Conditions:

1. Age limit: Maximum age is 35 years for SRF (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC)
2. The posts are purely temporary and will be filled on a contractual basis initially up to 31st March 2024, extendable till the termination of the project subject to satisfactory performance.
3. The candidate shall not claim regular appointment at this Institute, as the post is co-terminus with the project.
4. The interview of eligible candidates will be held according to the schedule given above.
5. The candidates will have to compulsorily bring the filled-in application form (as per the format annexed), all the original certificates from matriculation onwards, date of birth certificate, NET/equivalent certificate, degree certificate either original or provisional and one set of the self-attested photocopies of all the required certificates from matriculation onwards and an attested copy of recent passport size photograph pasted onto the application form. Proof of experience and publications also need to be submitted.
6. Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for the online interview.
7. Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification or termination of such candidates.
8. The candidates are required to submit the application at the time of the interview as per the format annexed along with the declaration

The candidate intending to attend the interview, if any of his/ her near or distant relative is an employee of the ICAR/IARI, have to declare his/her name, designation, nature of duties, and relationship in writing so as to reach the Head, Division of Genetics, ICAR-IARI New Delhi by 01.06.2023. If on the date of the interview such declaration is furnished and found that his relative is an employee of ICAR/IARI, such candidate will not be allowed for an interview.
10. All the other candidates are also required compulsorily to furnish the declaration duly signed in the format annexed and submit it on the date of the interview.

Essential Qualifications: Master’s degree in Genetics/Plant Breeding/ Genetics and Plant Breeding/Biotechnology with 4/5 years bachelor’s degree. Those with 3 years bachelor’s degree must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET qualification or equivalent or Ph.D. in any of the above disciplines.

Desirable:  Experience in the use of molecular markers and proficiency in computer skills.

Emoluments per month: Rs. 31000 + 24% HRA

   • Answer: In my research, I prioritize accuracy and reliability by implementing rigorous quality control measures. I also conduct data validation by cross-checking results, performing statistical analyses, and collaborating with colleagues for peer review.
