Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal, invites applications for the following positions for the DST Nanomission funded research project titled “Point of use sensors for rapid detection and differentiation of bacteria and virus in water and clinical specimen” at the Department of Microbiology, Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Manipal and the Department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), Manipal.

Eligibility: M.Tech in Instrumentation/ Biotechnology/ Biomedical Engineering or M.Sc in Biochemistry/ BioPhysics/ Biotechnology or related. GATE/NET qualified candidates shall be preferred.
Knowledge domain required: Applicants should have a working knowledge of either of the following: analytical instrumentation/ optical sensors/ electronics/ biotechnology/ biochemistry.
Job description: The job would require the integration of electronics, nanotechnologies and conjugation chemistries for sensor development.
Remuneration: Rs. 31,000 / month + HRA
